From neighbours to partners: Interforce X DG Groep
In the world of public outdoor spaces, everything revolves around innovation, insight and reliability. Nobody knows that better than Frank Jan Uittenbogaart, managing director of DG Groep. His career began in the horticultural sector during his studies in Boskoop, but he soon found his way into IT as well. There he discovered his passion for cartographic systems and software development. Eventually he worked his way up to managing director of DG Groep, a company that focuses on delivering custom software for municipalities and water boards.
“We are a software company in a niche market,” says Frank Jan. “Our strength lies in developing systems that help municipalities and water boards manage outdoor spaces better. That is complex, but that is exactly where our added value lies.”
A partnership by chance
The partnership with Interforce started more than twenty years ago, actually by chance. At the time, DG Groep was based in Boskoop and later moved to Hazerswoude-Dorp, where Interforce is also located.
“They were literally a few doors down,” Frank Jan laughs. “I just walked in one day, and the rest is history.”
DG Groep needed a new IT partner and found the perfect match in Interforce. “That first contact quickly grew into a close partnership,” Frank Jan explains. “From that moment on, we not only had our IT taken care of, but we also developed new SaaS services together. That allowed us to bring genuinely innovative solutions to market.”
Those joint innovations helped DG Groep grow into one of the larger players in software for outdoor spaces. “Our customers expect reliable systems. And Interforce has helped us deliver that on a large scale.”
Always reachable, always involved
What DG Groep really values is the way Interforce works together with them. “We can always call, and they immediately help us think things through. That personal contact is crucial for us. Because our software is so specific, we need a partner that is flexible and understands what we do. We have found that in Interforce.”
The complexity of the projects also calls for more than just technology. “IT solutions have to be embedded in our customers’ organisations. That means security and user-friendliness also have to be properly arranged from the very start. Interforce is a truly proactive partner in that respect.”
Growth through trust
The partnership has had a tangible impact on DG Groep’s growth. “We were able to serve larger clients thanks to the scalability and reliability that Interforce offers. I would go so far as to say that our growth has been made possible in part by this partnership,” says Frank Jan.
Even after twenty years, the trust is still strong. “We evaluate regularly, but I see no reason to switch partners. We have built a bond of trust that is very valuable, both commercially and operationally. We are important to each other.”
A partner for the future
For Frank Jan, the strength of the partnership lies above all in the human side. “The personal contact, the service orientation and the accessibility: we experience all of that very positively. Of course, there are always things that can be improved, but the foundation is simply very strong.”
His conclusion is clear: “For us, Interforce is not a supplier but a partner. Together we make sure our software solutions are reliable and future-proof. And that is exactly what our customers expect from us.”
